Armitage Shanks don't take themselves too seriously. How could they, being named in honour of britains primo toilet manufacturer? But see them and you'll be left in no doubt that they're far from a joke. They play thundering 1976 style punk rock'n'roll for jumping around to, belting out the finest old school punk classics alongside new classics of their own making.
They have, since their formation in 1991, become something of an institution, nurturing (and then sacking!) talented young musicians such as Billy Childish and Toe Rags' Liam Watson.
If you want some brutal guitar music with attitude, humour and style, then make sure to see Armitage Shanks!!
